About the VOICES Project

What is this survey about?

The survey will ask you questions about your health, wellbeing, relationships, work and experience of services. Hearing from a wide range of people will help us build a more complete picture about people’s different experiences and help us understand the changes in services that need to occur in order to better support women’s health and wellbeing. 

You may choose to answer some, none, or all, of the questions. The most sensitive questions in the survey are about abusive behaviours that have happened to you in your close relationships, including as a child, as well as some questions about unwanted sexual encounters. There are people who can support you if participating in the survey contributes to any feelings of distress, please click HERE for a list of resources.

In addition, we want to know about your service needs and how we can support women more effectively during this COVID-19 pandemic. 

Your answers will help us further understand how to best support women’s health and wellbeing. We know that living in abusive relationships can impact wellbeing and health, and abusive behaviours such as intimate partner violence, sexual assault by an intimate partner or non-partner, are common, and are often hidden issues.  

We recommend that you complete the survey in private due to the sensitive nature of some of the questions. Please check the guidelines about keeping safe online. If you do have concerns about your safety in a relationship, please take the time to choose a safe place to complete the survey. If for any reasons, you need to quickly exit the survey, on each page of the survey, you can click the ‘Quick Exit’ button which will take you to google.com so that no one will see that you were completing the survey.

You can complete it on any internet connected device, including a smart phone, computer or tablet device. You can exit the survey and return to it later by clicking the survey link in any email or text message you have previously received. However, as this survey is anonymous, you will only be returned to where you left off if you use the same device that you started the survey on. To complete the survey you need to GO TO THE NEXT PAGE.
