Experts by experience network

What is the Experts by Experience Network?

Women with lived experience of family and/or sexual violence from the WEAVERS research group have been working with researchers at the University of Melbourne since 2016 on a range of co-design projects. Due to the volume of work the WEAVERS have, a new network is being set up to allow for more victim survivors to become involved in research, advocacy and policy work in a way that is casual, flexible and can be combined with other work and commitments.

Will I be paid for my work?

While members of the WEAVERS Co-Design group are employed as casual employees of the University, members of the Experts by Experience Network will be paid in vouchers for their work which will be of a more adhoc and occasional nature. Members of the Network will be offered opportunities to join the WEAVERS Co-Design team when positions become available.

What time commitment is required?

Members of the Experts by Experience Network will be offered a range of opportunities to participate in events and projects and they will be able to select what interests them based on their availability.
