Module: Supporting Primary Care to Implement Family Violence Information Sharing
If you are working in a GP practice in Victoria, learn practical ways to implement the Victorian Government's information sharing schemes for your contact with people experiencing or using family violence. We outline what you need to know and provide key resources to operate under these schemes across the services system in addressing family violence.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module you should be able to:
Interpret the responsibilities of GPs and PNs under the new Information Sharing Schemes and MARAM Framework
Discuss how to respond to requests for information from other services, including checking if an organisation is an Information Sharing Entity (ISE)
Describe how to share information with ISEs.
Disclose information proactively and request information from other ISEs
Assess risk and provide a safety management plan for family members (see Identifying and responding to domestic and family violence module in this DFV e-learning series for more general information)
