By the end of this module you should be able to:
Explain how prevalence and systemic factors impact on patient experiences of domestic and family violence, disclosure and help-seeking
Recognise the trauma-related impacts of domestic and family violence on patients, including physiological, psychological and interpersonal impacts
Describe the principles of trauma and violence informed care (TVIC) and how these principles benefit facilitating disclosure, conducting safety assessments and providing early support
Discuss how practitioner knowledge, attitudes and behaviours can impact on the delivery of TVIC.
